Your first visit, start to finish

What should I bring?

Two things: a photo ID and your insurance card. If you take medications, a list of them (or the bottles) helps the provider more than you'd think. Coming in for a physical? Bring the form that needs signing. That's the entire checklist.

How does walk-in check-in work?

Walk in and give the front desk your name. You'll fill out a short intake form on the spot covering your history, your symptoms, and your insurance, then be seen in turn. There's no penalty for being new; a first-time patient and a returning one walk through the same door and the same process.

What happens in the exam room?

A provider examines you and orders any testing the exam actually calls for, X-rays and lab work happen in the building, during the same visit. Then you get the finding in plain language, the treatment, and any prescription sent straight to your pharmacy. If your situation needs an emergency room or a specialist instead, you'll be told that directly.

Can Serenity become my regular clinic?

Yes, that's the primary care side of the practice. Many patients meet us through a sick visit and stay: your records are already here, and the clinic is open every day of the week. Ask at the front desk, or mention it to the provider during your visit.

Questions before you come in?

Call (248) 482-8809. "Is this something you treat?" is a completely normal question and takes two minutes to answer, including the honest "no, that needs an ER" when that's the answer.
