This site is built to be accessible in its bones, with a few reader settings on top — not patched with an overlay widget.
Our standard
The site targets WCAG 2.1 Level AA. In practice that means: every text and background pairing meets contrast requirements, every page works with a keyboard alone, focus is always visible, headings follow a logical order, images carry descriptive alternative text, and animations respect your system's reduced-motion setting.
The accessibility button in the corner
The button at the bottom-left of every page opens four settings you can change for yourself: larger text, higher contrast, less motion, and underlined links. They are remembered on your device as you move around the site.
It is worth being clear about what that button is and isn't. It does not change how this site is built and it makes no claim that it fixes anything — it is a set of preferences, nothing more. It is deliberately not one of the third-party overlay widgets sold as instant compliance: those load an outside script that guesses at your page and frequently gets in the way of the screen reader you are already running. We don't use one, and we don't intend to. Your browser's own zoom, font, and contrast settings also work here exactly as they should.
How we check it
Every page is run through an automated WCAG audit before it ships, and the ones people use most — the home page, the treatment pages, insurance, and the visit request form — are also walked through with a keyboard alone, at 200% browser zoom, and at a 320-pixel screen width. Automated tools catch roughly a third of what matters, so the manual pass is the one that counts.
Where we don't control the page
Two things on this site are run by other companies, and their accessibility is theirs, not ours: the online booking system, which opens in a new tab on ClockwiseMD, and the embedded Google map on the contact page. If either one gets in your way, you do not have to fight it — call (248) 482-8809 and we will book you or give you directions over the phone.
If something isn't working for you
Tell us, plainly, and we will fix it. Call (248) 482-8809 with the page and the problem, whether that's something a screen reader stumbles on, text that's hard to read, or a form you can't complete. We aim to answer within two business days and to tell you either that it's fixed or when it will be.
And if the website is ever the barrier, skip it entirely. We are a walk-in clinic: everything here can be done by phone or at the front desk, with no appointment and no form to fill in first.
