About the clinic

Care built around when things actually happen

Kids get fevers on Sundays. Ankles roll on Saturday mornings. Serenity Urgent Care is open every day of the week because that's when medicine is actually needed.

What this clinic is

Serenity Urgent Care is an independent walk-in clinic at 19920 Farmington Rd in Livonia, urgent care and primary care under one roof. The urgent care side treats the illness or injury in front of you today, with no appointment and no referral. The primary care side is the long game: annual physicals, managed conditions, and a provider who knows your history.

The reason the combination matters is simple: most clinics make you choose between a doctor who knows you but can't see you for two weeks, and a walk-in clinic that can see you now but starts from zero. Here, the walk-in door and your chart belong to the same practice.

Why everything is in one building

Diagnosis usually needs more than a look. A suspected fracture needs an X-ray; a sore throat needs a swab; a UTI needs a urinalysis. At clinics without testing on site, each of those becomes a referral, a drive, and a wait. Here the exam, the test, the result, and the treatment happen in the same visit, which is most of what "urgent" should mean.

Where we sit between your doctor and the ER

The emergency room is for emergencies: chest pain, difficulty breathing, stroke symptoms, major trauma. For everything below that line, like the ear infection, the deep cut, the sprained wrist, or the flu that's winning, an emergency department is the slowest and most expensive place you can go, because true emergencies rightly cut in line ahead of you. That middle ground is this clinic's entire job: walk in, get treated, go home.

Part of the Livonia community

Serenity is an independent local clinic, not a chain. It's a member of the Livonia/Westland Chamber of Commerce and the #1 BusinessRate Award Winner for June 2026, voted by the same neighbors who walk through the door. The clinic serves Livonia and the surrounding west metro communities, 7 days a week.

What a visit looks like

Check in at the front desk with your ID and insurance card. You'll see a provider who examines you, orders whatever testing the exam calls for, and explains the finding in plain language before treating it. Prescriptions go to your pharmacy before you leave. If your case needs an ER or a specialist instead, you'll be told that honestly. Sending you to the right place is part of the job.
